Specialist Treatments & Technical Solutions

Flooring Solutions For Ghana's Hardest Technical Challenges

Beyond our six core systems, we deliver specialist treatments for specific technical problems — damp substrates, static discharge, chemical exposure, slip hazards, heavy point loads, heritage preservation. These are the interventions that save projects and protect buildings.

Six Specialist Solutions

Technical Treatments We Deliver Across Every System

Damp-Proof Membranes (DPM)

Ghana's concrete slabs can carry high residual moisture — especially on ground-floor installations and in older buildings. Without proper DPM, premium finishes lift, blister, and fail within years. We install polyurethane-based DPMs calibrated for substrate moisture readings above 75% RH, enabling us to specify finished flooring on slabs other contractors refuse.

Anti-Static / ESD Treatment

Where full ESD flooring is not required but some static control is, we install surface treatments — conductive primers, dissipative coatings, antistatic additives in standard resin systems. Suitable for lighter electronics environments, data annexes, support areas near imaging suites.

Anti-Slip Texturing

For wet areas, food processing, outdoor canopies, hospital wet zones. We apply aluminium oxide or silicon carbide aggregate into the final coat to achieve certified slip ratings. Tested slip performance documentation provided at commissioning.

Chemical-Resistant Novolac Systems

Standard epoxies degrade under acid, solvent, or hydrocarbon exposure. Novolac epoxy systems are cross-linked epoxies that resist these chemicals. Specified for labs, battery rooms, chemical storage, pharmaceutical process areas. Chemical compatibility testing included.

Heavy-Duty Surface Hardener

For industrial slabs subject to forklift traffic, heavy point loads, or impact damage. Metallic or silica hardener is troweled into wet concrete during initial pour, or applied as densifier to existing slabs. Concrete hardness increased 40-60%. Dust-proofing included.

Heritage Restoration

Preservation of historic floors in colonial properties, embassies, listed buildings. Original species matching, traditional hand-sanding, oil-and-wax finishes. Restoration rather than replacement — preserving the cultural value that modern materials cannot replicate.
