Commercial-grade LVT with 20+ year warranty from premium international manufacturers. Waterproof, dimensionally stable in Ghana's humidity, sound-rated for multi-storey buildings. For hotels, embassies, executive offices, luxury residences.
LVT has become the default specification for hotels, embassies, and executive offices in Ghana over the past decade — and for good reason. It looks like hardwood, performs like stone, is dimensionally stable in high humidity, can be installed over existing finished floors, and carries 20+ year commercial warranties from premium manufacturers. Not all LVT is equal — commercial-grade is a different category from residential LVT sold in local DIY stores.
Each variant serves a distinct project need. We specify based on your operation, not on what's in stock.
2.5-3mm wear-layer LVT permanently bonded to substrate. Best for high-traffic commercial — hotel corridors, office open-plans, retail.
Heavyweight LVT that holds position by mass + friction. Zero adhesive, fully recyclable, quick reconfiguration for corporate workspaces.
Floating LVT with interlocking edges. Best for renovations over existing floors where glue is not practical.
Stone-polymer composite core — rigid, waterproof, dimensionally stable. Premium specification for luxury residential and executive offices.
LVT with integrated acoustic backing for impact noise reduction. Specified for multi-storey hotels, apartment blocks, and offices above active ground floors.
Hand-scraped, wire-brushed, and distressed visuals replicating aged oak, walnut, reclaimed timber. For boutique hotels, heritage refurbishments.

For most commercial applications — yes. Hardwood expands and contracts with humidity swings; premium LVT does not. LVT is also waterproof, easier to clean, and more scratch-resistant. For signature heritage spaces where authentic timber character is required, engineered hardwood remains appropriate — see our hardwood page.
For corporate installations we specify minimum 5mm total thickness with 0.55mm wear layer for heavy traffic (hotel corridors, reception areas) and 0.30-0.40mm for lighter traffic. Residential-grade LVT (2-3mm, 0.12mm wear layer) is never used in our commercial projects.
Over tile: yes, with skim-coat levelling to eliminate grout lines. Over carpet: no — the carpet must be removed and the substrate prepared. We specify the right installation method after site survey.
Approximately 5-7 working days end-to-end: 1 day substrate preparation, 1 day moisture management, 3-4 days installation, 1 day snagging and handover. Weekend-only schedules available for operating facilities.
Premium commercial LVT is UV-stabilised and retains colour for the warranty period. Residential-grade LVT often yellows within 2-3 years of tropical sun exposure — another reason we specify commercial-grade only.
